Entrants must have made a significant contribution to the promotion and protection of human rights in Tanzania and been active in this area between December 2015 to June 2020.

• Taking action to overcome discrimination or infringements of human rights in Tanzania.
• Encouraging greater social harmony in Tanzania in a range of areas such as democracy and good governance, gender equality, rights of children and young people, social-economic rights.
• Enhancing the rights of Indigenous Tanzanians
• Promoting equal opportunity for people with disabilities in Tanzania
• Increasing awareness of issues of injustice or inequality in Tanzania
